I am of the firm belief that a solid education is vital, it is so very, very important for each and every single child. It is the building block of their future, of society’s future. Education can provide hope for children who may be stuck in a cycle of poverty!
Times change, and we have to keep up with new teaching methods and new technology; so we have the introduction of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD). This can be any portable device that can run standard office applications, be it an ipad/tablet, a chrome book, a notebook. This is becoming more and more common with secondary schools.
No matter a child’s circumstance, all children should have access to their own device, if it is required.
No child should be disadvantaged, or have a lesser education!
So, this begs the question, what do parents do when they cannot afford to provide these tools for their child’s education?
This Not-for-Profit service aims to match a device with a child who needs one.
So far I have placed 6 devices with 6 students in need, and with the 2018 school year just around the corner we have a lot more students that are in need.
